Weight loss :)

October 4, 2011

As we now have a permanent address it was time to set up our ‘medecin traitant’ and we had arranged an appointment with the local doctor. He is really great, speaks a little English and understands a lot more so our US medical history records were of use to him.

He spent about 30 minutes with each of us asking lots of questions and giving us an examination, possibly the most thorough check-up I have had in many years. Blood pressure, pulse, breathing, height, weight etc. At which point I discovered I have lost about 20lbs since leaving California. Considering I get no real exercise and the diet consists of bread, pate, cheese, butter, wine etc this is nothing short of miraculous – I put it down to the lack of preservatives etc in French food, no junk, lower salt content etc.

Then, we took the forms to the CPAM and registered our change of address – no problems at all, just more helpful and friendly people.

Now where is that container ?

Good for you 20lbs is quite a bit and as you say with no agony – just eating wonderfully fresh foods – even the cheese, pate and wine thrown in!
When is your container scheduled to arrive?
Luck you with all this behind you now………
    Cheers
