Progress

July 23, 2011

Well, the house sale is a go, the seven days grace period after signing the compromis is over. I had our friend the artisan builder take another long look at the house and he is now preparing estimates for all the jobs that need to be done before we actually move in.  We have been choosing flooring and other modifications and are eager to get moving but this is going to take a while. We had a letter from the Notaire asking for more personal data, quick visit to their offices sorted that out.

Had a couple of very pleasant days (apart from the weather) when a friend visited from England – good food and company and great to meet up after a few years. Next we are going to take a trip to England while we wait for the house, it’ll use up the time and also be good to see old friends again.

I got my shotgun license the other day now I wait for the advanced customs clearance so it can be shipped over as part of our personal belongings.

All in all – time is passing pleasantly but I do miss F1 in English 🙂

enjoying your blog and following your progress.
I have material for mine but can’t think of a clever name yet.

      Hi Jo,

F1 is Formula One GP Auto racing – I can only get the French channel and then only the race itself, no qualifying or post-race summaries. It’ll be OK when we move though

Just remember any progress is a step forward.

Enjoy England. Was there in March.
